At age 16, Michael Murphy is extremely knowledgeable about videography and strives to further his passion of videography and photography into a full fledged career. He has plans to attend NYU, UCLA, University of Texas at Austin, or another film college. With an understanding of video production much greater than he had years before, he purchased Sony's HVR-Z1, a high-end professional grade camera, with which he now shoots all of his current videography. Combined with Adobe's Production Studio Premium, partly used in the Superman Returns movie, he went on to learn the entire platform. Michael is constantly searching for new tutorials and articles over videography and editing, which all contribute to his ever-growing knowledge of the field. He knows many crucial cinematographic techniques, such as the rule-of-thirds, close-up, medium, and long shots, white balance, completely manual camera operation, composition, and many others. He also understands how to relate with the clients and strives to maintain constant communication to ensure that the end product is exactly as the client wishes. By using Adobe's ClipNotes, clients can receive proofs via e-mail that can be commented on and returned for further editing. Michael works in a state-of-the-art environment, featuring a High-Definition (HD) camera, green screening, and an incredibly fast workstation. He is also very familar with Adobe's Premiere Pro 2.0, After Effects, and Photoshop CS2. |
